Co-produced by Michael Magid and Dalia Malek, Comedy in English started as an international show in a hostel in Santa Monica where audience members came from around the world. During the lockdown, Comedy in English is now taking advantage of the online format and bringing in global comedians and audiences from different time zones in the comfort of their own homes.

Michael Magid: Born in Caracas, Venezuela and raised by a Miss Venezuela runner-up and a Sephardic Jewish banker; Michael's comedy is a mix of self deprecating stories and biographical accounts of an upbringing in a mixed cultured environment. Never really accepting a singular identity he eventually came to grips with the fact that being mixed, and feeling out of place, is okay. He is a grad of SC Conservatory, creator of the "World Cup Comedy Tour, and co-founder of the sketch group Recycled Babies. He has been seen at Sketchmelt, Big Pine Fest, The Comedy Central Stages, Seattle Sketchfest and more. Recycled Babies recently released a 6 episode compilation series on Amazon Prime through Wow Now Productions. His stand up album It's Not What It Looks Like w as released by Comedy Dynamics. Currently Michael produces the hit international comedy show, Comedy In English. An avid soccer fanatic and coach for 17 years, Michael is the Producer of the wildly popular Pro GK (Goalkeeping) Academy and its podcast Inside The 18.

Dalia Malek: Dalia Malek is an international comedian who started comedy in London, UK and has performed at major clubs, theaters, and festivals all over the world. Her stand-up was broadcast on BBC, and she has performed at the Brighton Fringe Festival, Reading Comedy Festival, and Live Nation's Latitude Festival in England, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland, Live Nation's Electric Picnic in Ireland, and Egypt's first ever Cairo Comedy Festival. Back home in the US, she has appeared in the Desi Comedy Fest, QueenFest, Second City Diversity in Comedy Festival, Sacramento FemmeFest, All Jane Comedy Festival, Ha Ha Harvest Comedy Festival, and SF Sketchfest. She is the creator, producer, and resident host of Interruption Show, a comedy festival favorite which has traveled internationally and had regular appearances in the SF Bay Area, San Diego, and LA until COVID-19 halted live shows. She now runs Interruption Show on Twitch, and the online version has been recommended by Little Black Book and featured by Chortle UK in its guide to today's best comedy on demand. She also ran her stand-up show Ground Floor in LA, which is currently on hiatus, and co-produces the formerly Santa Monica-based show Comedy In English on Zoom. Her media-acclaimed Twitter feed is regularly featured in articles, lists, and roundups on BuzzFeed, Huffington Post, Paste Magazine, WhoHaha, Vox, Someecards, eBaum's World, and Funny or Die. She has been featured in Vulture and VoyageLA, and was named one of USA Today's Funniest Young Feminists to Follow on Twitter, Bustle's Feminist Twitter Accounts to Follow, and The Frisky's Funniest Feminists to Follow on Twitter.

Debra DiGiovanni:  Canadian comedian Debra DiGiovanni is one of a kind. She’s been called the “Best Comedian to see after a Messy Break Up” and for the years 2008/2009-she was named Toronto’s (her home town) favorite comedian. In 2008, she taped her second “Comedy Now!” special for CTV/Comedy network and in 2009 she taped her second gala at Montreal’s Just for Laughs Festival. She also taped her first special on Comedy Central with her Live at Gotham recorded in New York City. Her special, “Single Awkward Female” premiered on Showtime in January 2012. Debra’s comedy has a sharp edge while maintaining a playful, happy air and her persona is one of the best developed of any comic working today. Couple that with a hilarious act that is so personal everyone can relate and you see why Debra is so popular; her humor and charm lies in her unflinching honesty and openness.

Daliso Chaponda:  As seen and heard on The Royal Variety Performance 2020 (ITV), Britain’s Got Talent 2017 (ITV), Britain’s Got Talent Champions 2019 (ITV), QI (BBC2), The Apprentice: You’re Fired (BBC2), Good Evening Britain (ITV), The News Quiz (BBC Radio 4), and The Now Show (BBC Radio 4). With over 300 million views of his stand up online, Daliso is also the writer, creator, and host of his Rose d’Or nominated BBC Radio 4 show Citizen of Nowhere that has aired for two series. Daliso Chaponda shot to fame on Britain’s Got Talent, making it to the final of the 2017 series and establishing himself a firm favorite with the judges and the British public. He became a Facebook and YouTube star amassing over 200 million views of his performances. He has performed around the world and at the Edinburgh, Melbourne, Singapore, and Cape Town comedy festivals. He has also toured the UK twice to sell out audiences and rave reviews.
